Friends, Gajar Halwa is a famous Indian delicious sweet dish. Which is made from carrot, milk, ghee, and sugar. Gajar Halwa is one such dessert, which is very simple to make. Cardamom powder is added to give the best taste to the halwa.
Ingredients:-
Carrots – 2 cups peeled grated
Milk – 1½ cups full-fat
Khoya – 1/4 Cup (Optional)
Ghee – 2½ tbsp
Sugar – 1/4 cup
cashews – 5 chopped
Almonds – 5 chopped
Kismis – 5
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
How to Make Gajar Halwa ( Cooking Method )
Step – 1 First wash the carrot with water and grate it.
Step – 2 Take a pan, put ghee in it, and put it on medium flame, add grated carrot and keep stirring it with a spoon and cover and cook for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, open the lid, a lot of water must have come out of the carrot, cook it like this, stirring it with a spoon in between. Till the water subsides.
Step – 3 When the water reduces in the carrot, then add milk to it and cook till it becomes thick, stirring continuously with a spoon.
Step – 4. Now reduce the flame, and add the grated khoya to the carrot halwa and cook for 5 minutes while stirring continuously with a spoon.
Step – 4 Add sugar, cashew pieces, and raisins and mix well. Cook, stirring continuously with a spoon, till the sugar melts. It will take 3-4 minutes.
Step – 5 Add cardamom powder, mix well and switch off the gas.
Now your carrot halwa is ready, take it out in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped almonds.
