Dhokla is very easy to make, you can make it at home and feed it for breakfast or if you are going on a journey, you can make it. So let’s know.
Ingredients: –
Gram flour – 200 grams
Curd – 150 grams
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Oil – 1 teaspoon
Salt – as per taste
Baking soda – a small spoon
Turmeric powder – a small spoon
ForTadka:-
Oil a spoon
Green chilies 7-8 (long cut)
Curry Leaves – 10-12
Mustard spoon
Sugar a spoon
For Decoration:-
Coriander leaves – 1 cup
How to Make Dhokla at Home (Cooking Method)
Step 1 – Sieve the gram flour in a bowl. Now add yogurt, salt, turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon oil, and lemon juice and mix well. Now add water little by little and make a smooth batter (make sure the batter is not too thin or too thick) Now keep the batter on the side for about half an hour to set.
Step 2 – Grease a bowl with oil so that the dhokla is not sticking to the bottom.
Step 3 – Now put some water in a pan and keep a stand inside it. Now heat the water on high to medium heat till it boils.
Step 4 – Mix the gram flour batter again with a spoon.
Step 5 – Add baking soda to the batter and mix the batter for 1 minute. Now you will see that the batter is full
Step 6 – Put the batter in a greased pot, and place it on the stand in the pan. Cover the lid and cook for 15-20 minutes.
Step 7 – After cooking, prick the knife and check. If the knife comes out clean then understand that the dhokla is well-formed, if the batter is sticking to the knife, then cook for two to three more minutes. Now take out the pot and let it cool down a bit.
Step 8 – After cooling, cut the dhokla into medium pieces with a knife.
Step 9 – To apply Tadka, put one spoon of oil in a pan and heat it. When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds, green chilies (long cut), curry leaves, and fry until the mustard seeds crackle.
Step 10 – Now pour this tempering over the dhokla and then decorate it with green coriander.
Friends, now your dhokla is ready to serve completely. You can serve it with chutney.
