Ingredients:-

Refined flour – 1½ cups
Baking Powder – 1/2 tsp
Sugar – 1½ tsp
Curd – 1½ tsp
Oil – 1½ tablespoons
Milk – 3 tablespoons
salt to taste
Hot water to knead the dough
Sesame seeds or fennel seeds – 1 tbsp kale
Coriander leaves – 3 tablespoons finely chopped optional
Butter, as required

How to Make Kulcha (Cooking Method)

Step – 1 Sieve all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt together in a pot. Add sugar, yogurt, milk, and oil to it. Mix well.

Step – 2 Now add a little warm water as required and knead soft dough.


Step – 3 Cover the dough with a soft cloth and let it set for 2 hours.

Step – 4 After two hours, knead the dough again. Divide the dough into small equal portions and give them a round shape like a ball.

Step – 5 Wrap the dough with dry flour and keep it on top of the chakla. Roll it into a round shape of 3-4 inches diameter from the Belan.

Sprinkle some sesame and green coriander on it and press it with your hand. Roll it again into a 6-7 inch diameter round shape (slightly thicker than the paratha) or an oval shape.

Step – 6 Now turn the rolled paratha upside down and apply some water on the upper side with a brush or wet hand.

Step – 7 Heat a pan on medium heat. When the griddle is medium hot, put raw kulcha over it (keep the sesame seeds on top). Bubbles will appear on the surface in a short time.


Step – 8 When bubbles appear, turn the pan upside down and place it 2-3 inches above the gas flame. Shake the pan on the left and right until brown spots appear on the surface. Take care that the kulcha does not burn. When cooked, remove it. Then apply butter in it. Cook the rest of the kulchas in the same way.

You can also cook it in the pan like a paratha. You can also cook it in the pan like a paratha. Or you can bake it in the oven at 300 ° C.

Now your Kulcha is ready to serve. It can be served with paneer tikka masala or kadhai paneer, or Chhole.
